How the name wheel works

Add names. Choose your settings. Spin. See the winner. The draw happens on this device, and the wheel only reveals it.

  1. 01

    Add names

Paste one name per line or type them in. Duplicate labels stay as separate people until you choose to combine them. Save named class lists on this computer when you have more than one group.

  2. 02

    Choose your settings

Pick one winner or several. Remove names after they land. Set spin duration. Keep sound on for ticks and applause, or mute the room.

  3. 03

    Spin

The random name wheel picker draws with your browser’s cryptographic randomness first, then the wheel spins to that person.

  4. 04

    See the winner

The name lands under the pointer, the ticks stop, and a full-screen congratulations overlay makes the result obvious from the back of the room.

Start with a list, not a catalog

There is one public product: a random name wheel picker. Add the people in the room, set the draw the way you want it, and spin. You do not have to hunt through a directory of other random tools.

The wheel is honest about the result

A wheel spinner that picks after it stops would feel like theatre. Here the name is chosen first, then the spinning wheel picker rotates to that slice and stops on purpose. Ticks follow real segment crossings, so the sound matches what you see.

Settings stay on this device

Winner count, remove-after-pick, spin duration, named class lists, and the current list itself are stored locally. Come back in the same browser and the wheel is still yours.
